The Dispute Resolution Center is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides and promotes accessible, high-quality dispute resolution services for all people in Travis County and the surrounding Austin, TX areas. In addition, the DRC offers Mediation Services, Mediation Training, Customized Mediation Training, Facilitation Services and Community Education Programs designed to give individuals, businesses and communities the skills necessary to effectively mediate and resolve conflicts.

The DRC is located on the 4th floor of the Chase bank building in the parking lot of The Capital Plaza Shopping Center between the 51st exit and the 290 exit on the east side of Interstate 35. Free parking is available.

Notice: The DRC is currently conducting mediations and other services at our location at 5407 N. IH-35, Suite 410, Austin, Texas. In order to better serve you during the current times, the following guidelines have been established.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

As DRC transitions back into offering in-person mediations for the public, safety guideline precautions to expect while at the DRC office are listed below:

  • Face masks will be required for all participants in accordance with Austin/Travis Co. guidelines
  • Parties are asked to use hand sanitizer available at the DRC office door before entering the center
  • Social distancing of 6 ft. between parties will apply
  • Parties should bring their own personal refreshments (water, coffee, snacks, etc.) & tissues
  • Mediations begin at 9:00 am
  • To minimize the amount of time in enclosed spaces, parties are asked to conclude mediation within 3 hours
  • DRC staff will sanitize the mediation rooms after each mediation session
