The function of soap is to encourage the formation of micelles which are done by the soap ions. The hydrophobic end is attached away from the dirt droplet and the hydrophylic end is attached towards the micelle. The same is applicable to bile salt which breaks or emulsifies larger fat globules to smaller fat globules called micelles. The function is similar because both the processes involve the formation of micelles.

Hope it helps!!
Cheers!!

Steph0303: cheers!! all the best
Vishal1102: does the soap molecules (micelle) break down the large dirt?
Steph0303: No dude soaps are substance which break large dirt into smaller globules called micelles
Vishal1102: oh
Vishal1102: so soap molecules are not called micelle
Steph0303: yes
Steph0303: soap molecules are soap only
Steph0303: they break dirt into smaller globules called micelles
Vishal1102: a micelle is a spherical cluster of hundred of molecules of soap or detergent in their solution in water
Steph0303: ya it is formed after reaction between soap and water
