How the presence of parasite is harmful for host?

Parasite is an animal which lives on or in one's body called the host and feeds on it's host. The host may be an animal, human, plants or any living organism. The parasite takes all the nutrients, food and energy from the hosts body. It sucks out the blood. If the parasites keep living in the host body, the blood level will decrease and the host might die. In case of plants, the host sometimes takes all the necessary nutrients and water from the roots or food from the phloem. If food or water or nutrients or not enough for the plant, it dies.

So, parasites are harmful it is on or in the host body
