How to convert mixed fraction to I'm proper fraction

Let's take an example.
5 3/8 is an mixed fraction to convert it into improper fraction first multiply the integer with the denominator and add numerator to the answer. In this case multiply 5 by 8 and add 3 to their product. This is the numerator while the denominator remains the same. The improper fraction that we get from the above mixed fraction is 43/5.
