How to distinguish between carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide

CARBON DIOXIDE :::
it is a colourless, odourless, heavier ( 1.5times) than air
it is highly toxic since it consumes oxygen.
it is non-poisonous & does not support life, but at higher level it has adverse effects.
it has major contribution in the greenhouse effect, global warming & maintaining acidic pH ( 5.6 )in the rain water..

SULPHUR DIOXIDE :::
it is a colourless with suffociating smell.
it irritates the respiratory system and damages the lungs .Hence it is a harmful gaseous pollutants.
it is poisonous to animals & plants
