How to erect an inverted image without deviation in a right angled isosceles prism? Explain with ray diagram.

To get the erect image of the inverted image there used the reflecting prism.

  • The reflecting prism is used because it give the erect image without any deflection in the angle.
  • This is happening due to the reason that rays of light are travelling parallel and even after inner reflection angles will not change.
  • As the incident ray will be incident on the surface AB and deflect by the base BC and emerge to the side AC and we get the reflected light with the same angle.
