you can build up an equation using the herons formula.

S= perimeter/2

a.b.c are the sides.

then the area is equal to the sq root of [ S (s-a)(s-b)(s-c)]

by singling the side of which you do not know the length, and simplifying the equation, you can figure out the length of the unknown side.
