Answer:

Given,

Area of a triangle =2x×x+4x

And, base of a triangle= x+2

Let the altitude of a triangle be z

Now,

we have to find altitude of the triangle

By using formul: 1/2 × base ×altitude = Area of the triangle

According to the question

1/2 × x+2 ×x = 2x×x +4x

(x+2)x /2 =2x ×x+4x

x = (2x×x+4x/x+2) 2 ( by cross multiplication)

x = (2x +2)2

x = 4x +4

Hence,

Altitude of the triangle is 4x+4
