Hey there!

Social science is not that tough to study. You dont need to memorize any answers at all!

For History :-

  • History is a subject with vast topics and details regarding important events. The best thing you can do is to create a sequence of the events.
  • For example, you can create a timeline on how India got its independence by starting from the beginning until the end (depending upon the context of your textbook. If you are in class 10 then this can be very useful).
  • You can also try to highlight important information by writing them down in scribble sheets or pads. Like several wars. Who won the war and how did they win. (just an example).
  • Finally, understand the question. Several people would read the textbook and vomit the answers in the answer sheet without totally understanding the question. Write only what is asked.

For Geography :-

  • Geography isn't that tough since it's just a bunch of facts put together. Again, keep writing and practicing.
  • Refer to several sample papers or summative assessment tests or try to answer the questions at the end of the lesson.
  • Draw diagrams and practice them, if you have diagrams given.
  • Also try to revise a couple of times. Geography has a lot of facts and figures so make sure you revise. History doesn't need revision much, because you have already prepared a timeline for it.

For Politics / Civics :-

  • Read several newspapers. Watch Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha TV. You'll be able to understand the concept of how democracy and our country works.
  • Do more research on the topic and try to gather new information. The textbooks don't provide a lot of info. Hence just go through the papers and look for case studies so you can learn better.
  • Eventually, don't spend too much time researching things. This is usually done a few weeks prior to rhe examination for better understanding.

Then again, all it matters is whether you learn the concept well and don't memorize things. This way, you'll be able to learn more and in an efficient manner.

I followed this method and I managed to score well in my exams without even memorizing.

and most importantly, pay attention in class.
