To become an account holder with a bank, you need to fill an account opening form,submit necessary documents, like copies of address proof, identity proof along with photographs etc.
Once the necessary paper work has been completed, a bank account is open and you become an account holder with a bank. The bank allots a unique account number to you. It gives the documents like pay in slip, cheque book and Passbook for your day to day transactions with the bank.
