I am stating the ways which I use.

1) Try to link it with one of the words.

Ex: 1911- British anulled the partition of Bengal. (I am taking the 'll' of anulled as similar to 11).

2) Correspond it with some irl events.

Ex: 15 October 1542 is when Emperor Akbar was born, so think of someone's bday or an important event and remember. (3 months after August or something)

3) You don't need to mug up all the dates, just go after the important ones.
