How to solve quadratic equation in maths of class 10

You can solve quadratic equations by using 3 methods-
1- Factorization method in which you have to split middle term to get roots for equation.
$x^{2} - 2x - 8 = 0 \\ x^{2} - 4x + 2x - 8 = 0 \\ x(x - 4) + 2(x - 4) = 0 \\ (x + 2)(x - 4) = 0$
x=-2 or x=4
