The radius of the semicircle seems to be 28/2cm = 14cm

and
the angle subtended by the semicirlce her is 90°.

The height of the triangle = radius os semicire. = 14 cm.

and the base is 28cm.

Area of shaded region = area of semicircle - area of the triangle,

Therefore,

(\frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 14 \times 14 )- ( \frac{1}{2}  \times 14 \times 28) \\  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 14( \frac{22}{7}  \times 14 - 28) \\  = 7(16) \\ 112 {cm}^{2}

Therefore option ( D ) is the correct one.
