How to subtract two fractions with different denominators?

By taking common LCM
For Example the fractions are 13/4-8/3 in image

Explain with an example...
If, 2/3 - 3/4
then,
First we LCM of denominator..
LCM of 3,4=12
=> divide 12 by denominator of first then, answer is 4
So, 4 is multiplied both numerator and denomination.
So, first fraction becomes, 8/12
as Same as fraction second,
fraction becomes, 9/12
then we can subtract, 8/12-9/12= -1/12
