A name in french is usually divided into 2 parts, Prenom and Nom.
The prenom is our first name, and nom is our second name. For example in the name Paul Dupont, Paul is the first name, or prenom, and Dupont is the second name(or family name), or nom. The prenom is written after the nom, and the nom is usually written in capital letters. So, if your name was Paul Dupont, you would write your name in french as DUPONT Paul.
