Increase in energy needs due to population growth and conservation of it because natural resources are depleting has a vast effect on International peace and security.
For example, oil leak which occurred in 1973 and 1979 made Saudi Arabia to defy “US policy in a strategic region and lead to one of the worst economic crises in modern history.” This led to the formation of “International Energy Agency”. This was created with intention of solving a conflict by cooperation than by fighting. It was also setup to solve the crisis that occurs due to dearth of energy which would in turn lead to economic crisis.
