So, R = V/I
that means resistence is directly proportional to potential difference.
So, you should place your all the resistors in a way which would make least resistance.
In parallel connection you could make the least resistance.
Formula →
1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3
That means,
1/R = 1/2+1/3+1/4
1/R = 26/24
R = 24/26
R =12/13
R = 0.923ohm
so, the potential will also decrease
