How would you test of presence of proteins in a given food sample by using copper sulphate and caustic soda solution? Chiken contains proteins but fails to give this test. Why? What kind of protein can give this test. Under what coditions chiken can be tested by using the same copper sulphate and caustic soda solution?

take the material
drop 10 drops of caustic soda and 2 drops of copper sulphate
the solution should turn blue purple.

Chicken fails to do this because this test only works on liquid items as chicken semi solid it will not change its colour.

It can be done by dissolving the chicken piece in water  and testing it.
