By using a magnet we can separate the iron nails because magnet will apply force of attraction on iron nails due to which it gets attached to the magnet. Hence, iron nails will move out of the mixture.

Styrofoam and packaging balls can be removed out of the mixture by using hand picking method. Then we are just left with sugar and copper bolts into the mixture.

We add water into this mixture and then stir it. The sugar will dissolve into the water and on filtering out we can separate the copper bolts from it.
