Hydrocarbons X and Y have melting points - 190o and - 90orespectively. Which one of these has minimum carbon in the molecule. why?

X will have more no. Of carbons beacuse more the no. of atoms is equal to more force of attraction and thus x has more melting point nd so has more no. Of carbon atoms
