As mass ratio of hydrogen/oxygen=1/8

as, Mass of H2=2

and Mass of O=16

H2/O=2/16=1/8

now the ratio is fixed

here mass of H2=3

let Mass of O=x

3/x=1/8

x=8*3

x=24

AS WE ALL KNOW THAT

2H2 + O2 ==== 2H2O

ALSO ,

1:8 ====4gm:32gm

now the ratio becomes

3:24

which means that

3gm of hydrogen gas react with 24 gm of oxygen to form water whose mass is 27 gm .

THANKS .
