Hydrogen is not a metal . Then why it is put in the reactivity series of metals ? Explain.

In the periodic table, hydrogen is placed is the first row just before inert gas Helium. ... Hydrogen is included in the reactivity series of metalsbecause it's property of electroposivity (i.e losing electron to form positive ion) is similar to that ofmetals, thats why we can relate it withmetals.

It shows some characteristics of metals like it has ns1 electronic configuration and is different from halogens. It differs from alkali metals as it forms cations.. Thnk u
