2x+3y=−4_____(1)

x−5y=11

∴x=11+5y ______(2)

Substituting eq. (2) in eq. (1), we get,

2(11+5y)+3y=−4

22+10y+3y=−4

22+4=−13y

∴y=− 13

26y=−2

Substituting y=−2 in (1) we get,

x=1
