I have 1000rupees in ten and five rupee notes. if the number of ten rupee notes that I have in ten more than the number of five rupee notes,how many notes do I have in each denomination.

let the number of 5 rupees note be x

so number of 10 rupees note= x+10

cost of 5 rupee note=RS 5x

cost of 10 rupees note=RS 10x+100

total cost = RS 1000

therefore

5x+10x+100=1000

15x=1000-100

15x=900

x=900/15=60

Now,

5x=Money containing 5 rupee note only

10( x+10 )=Money containing 10 rupee note only

Therefore,

5x + 10(x+10)=1000

5x + 10x + 100=1000

5(x + 2x) =1000-100

x + 2x =900/5

3x = 180

x = 60

x+10=70

Therefore , No of 5 rupee note= 60

And , No. of 10 rupee note=70
