I have a doubt with this question attached here. Can anyone help me? It is related to the chapter Force and Laws of Motion. You just have to find out the frictional force. The question is very easy. I just wanted to clarify.

Answer:

Ok to find the force exerted by friction will ne the retardation multiplied by its mass

Explanation:

m=50g=0.05kg

u=80m/s

v=0m/s

t=8sec

a=v-u/t. (From 1st equation of motion)

a=0-80/8

a=-10m/s²

a=10m/s² in the opposite direction

From second law of motion

F=ma

F=(0.05)*10

F=0.5N

Frictional force on the ball is 0.5N
