i have some 5rupee coin and some 2rupees coin . the no of 2rupees coin is 4times of 5rupees coin .if i have117 rupees in all, find the number of coin of each denominations

Here is the solution

Let the number of 5rupee coins is x
then, 2rupee coins is 4x

now, as we have total 117 rupee so,

x(5) + 4x(2) = 117
=> 5x +8x = 117
=> 13x = 117
=> x = 117/13 = 9
Hence,
5rupee coins = 9
& 2rupee coins = 9×4 =36
