I labour is engaged for 30 days on the condition that he will be paid rupees 80 for each day he works and he will be fined rupees 10 for each day he is absent if it was finally paid rupees 1860 how many days did he come to work. Please send through a pic.

Here is the answer

Let he work for X days 

then he was absent for (30 -X) days.

Total Paid = Rs. 1860

Now according to question,

80 *X -  10*(30 -X) = 1860

80X -  300 + 10X = 1860

90X = 2160

X = 2160/90 = 24.

X = 24 days.

No. of working days = 23
