there are two process that goes on simontaneously at the same time.these two processes are:
a)diffusion current
b)formation of depletion layer
ii)the diagram given below contains two diodes.every full wave rectifier is contains minimum of 2 diodes. we know that there is ac current flowing in the circuit.when the current flows in the clockwise direction D1 conducts as it is in forward biased where the D2 becomes open circuited as it is in reverse biased.so in the first input cycle,we see there is also some output.in the next half again we have D2 is conducting and D1 is not conducting due to reverse biased condition.since one of the diode always conducts,there will be output as shown in the given figure.
