Answer -: We have often heard that the heart of India lies in its villages. if we really love our country and want to nurture it, we need to do it at its heart that is by improving the schools of the rural areas. No amount of development will bring about a change as drastic as the one that will result due to improvement in rural schooling facilities. hence curbing the distance and bridging the present gap between the urban and rural schools is the need of the hour. Assessment of Listening and Speaking or ASL is a subject which was introduced in the schools falling under the ambit of CBSE. Added in the curriculum of IX and XI grades, it evaluates the student’s listening, speaking, and communication skills in English. It also helps to assess the critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills of the student through various questions. • In comparison to schools in rural areas, urban schools are typically bigger, have student bodies that are more socioeconomically privileged, have greater control over resource allocation, are less likely to experience staff shortages, are more likely to have a higher proportion of qualified teachers, and have higher student-teacher ratios.
• Lack of infrastructure and staff: Children have little to no access to essential educational resources including well-stocked classrooms, computers, labs, and play areas, among other things. The teachers frequently lack credentials or fail to show up, which results in a lacklustre level of instruction.
• Rural schools undoubtedly provide numerous benefits, including smaller class numbers, the chance for more individualised instruction between teachers and specific pupils, creative curricula like place-based education, and a strong sense of community values and identity.
