Human Rights
We are the citizens of a democratic country which signifies government, 'of the people, by the people, for the people." A democratic state ensures fundamental rights to each of its citizen which aim at bringing equality among different strata in the society. There is no discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, gender, faith, beliefs and religion. Respect for human beings takes a priority over petty regional or personal interests.
It's truly said that every right brings with it the responsibility to respect that right and realize that our rights should not interfere with the rights of others. To make a democracy work, it's mandatory the people are aware of their duties along with their rights. If we are given the right to vote, the responsibility of making a fair choice without any bias befalls us.
If we have to truly advocate human rights, we need to appreciate unity in diversity which is so unique a feature of our motherland. Despite different languages, culture, customs and beliefs, we are strung in a bond that we share our mother, we all are the worthy sons and daughters of our motherland. We need to protect her and endeavor to make our motherland proud by conserving her valuable treasures like monuments, culture, ideals and then only can we have the right to be called true Indians.
