I read 2/9 of a book on Friday , 1/3 of it on Saturday and the remaining 160 pages on Sunday . How many pages are there in the book ?

let the total pages be x.
so the pages studied on Friday be 2x/9 and the pages studied on Sat.be 1x/3
the pages studied on Sunday be 160.
now add all the quantities 2x/9+x/3+160=x
by taking LCM we get 2x+3x+1440=9x
5x+1440=9x
1440=4x
x=360
therefore the total pages be 360
