Answer:

(i)p=(-1), q=(-2)

2p-2q-4-5+p

=2(-1)-2(-2)-4-5+(-1)

=(-2)-(-4)-4-5-1

=(-2)+4-4-5-1

=2-9-1

=(-7)-1

=(-8)

(ii)x=0

2x²+x-a=5

2(0)²+0-a=5

2(0)+0-a=5

0+0-a=5

(-a)=5

a=(-5)

Answer:

i) 2p – 2q – 4 – 5 + p=2(-1)-2(-2)-4-5+(-1)

= -2+4-4-5-1

=-8

ii)2x2 + x – a=5

as x=0

2(0)²+0-a=5

-a=5

a=-5
