Arthur Keller is one of the main characters in the novel -the story of my life.He is the father of Helen Keller. He had been a captain in the confederate army. Keller describes him as"loving and indulgent,devoted to his home ,seldom leaving us,except in the hunting season."Helen says that her father was one of the most loving and indulgent fathers. He was very devoted to his home. He would sell them leave them .He was a good hunter and the celebrated shot. Next to his family he loved his dogs and gun.He was very hospitable. He was proud of his proud of his garden where he raised the finest watermelons and strawberries in the country. He was a good storyteller and would amuse her with his clever anecdotes.
