From the figure ,
a ) In ∆ PQR ,
QR = 50m
Let PQ = x m
tan 60° = QR / PQ
√3 = 50 / x
x = 50/√3 ----( 1 )
b ) In ∆ TPQ ,
PQ = x = 50/√3 ,
Let PT = h m,
tan 30° = PT/ PQ
1/√3 = h / x
( 1/√3 ) x = h
h = ( 1/√3 ) ( 50/√3 )
= 50 / 3
h ≈ 16.67 m
