I will mark you as BRAINLIEST if you solve this one.

A man buys 50 similar toys at Rs.5,000. But 20 of them are found to be damaged. He sells each of the damaged toys at three-fourths of the cost price. If he wants to make a profit of 35% on the whole, find the rate at which the remaining toys are to be sold.

CP of 50 toys = Rs.5000

CP of each toy = 5000/50= Rs.100

CP of 20 damaged toys= 100 x 20= Rs.2000

CP of remaining toys =5000-2000 = Rs.3000

SP of each of the damaged toys = 100 x 3/4 = Rs.75

SP of 20 damaged toys = 75 x 20 = Rs.1500

Loss= 2000-1500=500

Loss%= 500 x 100/2000 = 25%

Profit % =35%

Profit on each toy= 35/50= 0.7%

Ideal SP of each toy= 100 + (100x0.7)= Rs.170

Ideal SP of all toys= 170x50= Rs.8500

SP of damaged toys= Rs.1500

SP of remaining 30 toys= 8500-1500= Rs.7000

SP of each toy= 7000/30= Rs.234 (approx.)
