Here is your answer

put the value of x in equation We get

2( - 1 \div 2) + k( - 1 \div 2) + 1 = 0 \\ multiply \: by \: 2 \\ - 2 - k + 2 = 0 \\ - k = 0 \\ k = 0
Hope it helps you
