If 15 boats row down a distance of 60km in 5 hours, how many miles will be coverd by 3 boats in one hour?

You'll get tricked here. No of boats doesn't matter as each boat would eventually have to travel its own path.


◆ Answer-
d2 = 12 km.

◆ Explaination-
# Given-
d1 = 60 km
t1 = 5 hrs
d2 = ?
t2 = 1 hr

# Solution-
Velocity of the boat is -
v = d1/t1
v = 60/5
v = 12 km/hr

Distance travelled by boat is -
d2 = v.t2
d2 = 12 × 1
d2 = 12 km

Each of 3 boats will travel 12 km in hr.
