Given equation,

16x² -p=[4x-1/3][4x+1/3]

Solving RHS,

[4x+1/3][4x-1/3]

★Of the form a²-b²=(a+b)(a-b)

Here,

a=4x and b=1/3

=[(4x)²-(1/3)²]

=16x²-1/9

On comparison with LHS,

16x²-p=16x²-1/9

→-p= -1/9

→p=1/9

The value of p is

 \boxed{\sf{p =  \frac{1}{9} }}
