Hello Mate here is your answer below,

Given values are

AP, a , b ,-3,.......

so that here first term is (a), and second term( b) and third term is (-3) ..

we know that ,

a1 = a

second term,is

a2 = a + d

same as

a3 = a+2d

so the question is

a + d = a2 it's is second term.
