 35℅of a number is 12 less than 50℅ of that number

so,

lets form an equation

50% of x = 35% of x +12

=> % means 100

so,

50x/100 = 35x/100 + 12

50x/100 - 35x/100 = 12

=> 15x/100 = 12

=> 15x = 100 *12

=>15x = 1200

=>x = 1200/15

=>x = 80

hence the number is 80
