if -5 is a root of the quadratic equation 2x^2+px+15=0 and the quadratic equation p(x^2+x)+k=0 has equal roots, find the value of k.

put -5 in the first equation to get the value of P
50-5P+15=0
5P=65
P=13
put P in 2nd equation
now for 2nd equation to have equal roots
b^2-4ac =0
P^2-4PK=0
169-52k=0
K=169/52
k=13/4
