Answer:

5m-n=3m+4n

=5m-3m=4n+n

=2m=5n

therefore m/n=5/2

(3m-4n)/(3m+4n)

=[(3m/n)-4]/[(3m/n)+4]. [dividing the whole equation by n]

=[(3*5/2)-4]/[(3*5/2)+4]. [substituting the value of m/n]

=[(15/2)-4]/[(15/2)+4]

=[(15-8)/2]/[(15+8)/2]

=(7/2)/(23/2)

=7*2/2*23

=7/23. [cancelling 2 from the numerator and denominator]

therefore the answer is 7/23

Hope it helps
