Step-by-step explanation:

 {64}^{x}  =  {256}^{ - y}  \\  {2}^{6x}  =  {2}^{ - 8y}  \\  both \: have \: same \: power \: compare \\  =  > 6x =  - 8y \\  =  > 6x + 8y = 0 \\  =  > 3x + 4y = 0

64x=1/256y

2^6x= 256^-y

2^6x=2^-8y

Since,as a index rule

a^b=a ^c^ b=c as they have same power,

6x= -8y

6x+8y=0

3x+4y=0
