Answer:

{ ( 1 , 5 ) , ( 1 , 6 ) , ( 2 , 5 ) , ( 2 , 6 ) }

Step-by-step explanation:

Given----> A = { 1 , 2 } , B = { 3 , 4 } , C = { 5 , 6 }

To find-----> ( A - B ) × C

Solution-----> We know that,

In ( A - B ) , we can take that element which belongs to A but not belongs to B.

A = { 1 , 2 } and B = { 3 , 4 }

A - B = { 1 , 2 } - { 3 , 4 }

= { 1 , 2 }

In ( A - B ) × C , we take ordered pairs whose first element is from ( A - B ) and second element is from C .

( A - B ) × C = { 1 , 2 } × { 5 , 6 }

= { ( 1 , 5 ) , ( 1 , 6 ) , ( 2 , 5 ) , ( 2 , 6 ) }

Additional information----->

1) If , number of element in set A is m and number of element in set B is n .

Then number of element in ( A × B ) = m × n

Number of subset of ( A × B ) = 2ᵐⁿ
