If a ball takes n seconds when it moves with a speed 5 m/s to cover a distance of 10km .
Hn+ On --> H2O find n and balance the equation.
EXPLAIN IT WELL
kvnmurty:
it is 10 m and not 10 km

Hii friend,
We know that formula,
Velocity= Distance/time
time= Distance/velocity
time= 10/5
Time= 2seconds.
The value of n in the equation is 2.
H2+ O2->H2O
Though the equation is not balanced, in order to balance it the oxygen compound becomes single element.
:-H2+1/2O2->H2O
where 1/2O2=> O.
or it can be directly balanced in the molecule state as ,
2H2+O2=> 2H2O
Hope this helps you a little!!!

It's a good installed question combining both physics and chemistry.
Here, A ball moves with speed of 5m/s and has to cover 10m in seconds.
we know that;
Distance = speed * time
=> 10 = 5 * n
=> n = 2 .
Now substituting n in the given chemical reaction equation.
We have 2 oxygens in reactants and one in products ; so multiply by 2 in products
We have 2 hydrogens in reactants and 4 in products so multiplying h2 by 2 .
The final balanced equation is
and value of n = 2
