If a circle passes through points (0, a), (a,0), (0, b), then find its centre and radius​

Hey there!..Here is ur answer-

We have circle through the point A(0, 0), B(a, 0) and C(0, b).

Clearly triangle is right angled at vertex A.  

So, centre of the circle is the mid point of hypotenuse BC which is (a/2, b/2).

Next,

Radius=?

          =  √[(a/2 - 0)^2  +  (b/2 - 0)^2]

          = √[\frac{a^{2} }{4}+\frac{b^{2} }{4}]

          =√[\frac{a^{2}+b^{2}  }{4}]

          =√\frac{(a^{2}+b^{2})  }{2}
