we all know these:
charcoal becomes soggy in wet weather due to the absorbtion of atmospheric gases
and
pressure= force/area and force = mass * acceleration
here the same process takes place,where these gases are absorbed,and the mass decreases,air pressure decreases and so does the pressure.
