Let d be the distance he travelled, t be original (actual) time in minutes and v be original (actual) speed in metres/minute. Then:

d=\frac{3}{4}v\left(t+20\right) (1)

d=vt (2)

Substitute (2) into (1):

\frac{3}{4}v\left(t+20\right)=vt\:;\:\frac{3}{4}\left(t+20\right)=t\:;\:t+20=\frac{4}{3}t\:;\:t-\frac{4}{3}t=-20;\:-\frac{1}{3}t=-20\:;\:t=60

Hence the answer.
