If a stone you touch does not have any uneven surface , then we can describe that stone's surface with the help of the word known as, smooth. (Adjective).
• The uneven surfaces of a stone is formed due to the microscopic level pours and ridges present on the external surface of the stone.
• When these microscopic level pours and ridges are absent (naturally or artificially) then the uneven feel of the surface of the stone, vanishes.
• Due to absence of those pours and ridges we can easily call the surface as a smooth surface.

- In spite of the audio and visual ideas of textural things, touch has its own specialties.
- It is much finer and quite complex that other sensory modalities.
- When we put our hands on some textural things, we understand their texture, their pattern just like a glance.
