If a triangle and a parallelogram are on the same base and between the same parallels, then prove that area of the triangle is equal to half the area of the parallelogram.

My teacher is saying that it is a theoram plz tell me by proving it...

What is a theoram?

The way to working out area of a quadrilateral is length times width. If you were to draw a quadrilateral (mainly rectangles and squares) with a triangle which touches the top and bottom then cut the areas around the triangle but in the quadrilateral, then the areas around that are in the quadrilateral will be the exact same area of triangle which means the area to finding the area of the triangle would be: length times width divided by 2.
